Welcome to the Family Counselling Centre

Donate Now Through!

We want to share some news, and ask for our community’s support. FCCCND delivers to our community our Addictions Services program, which includes men’s and women’s abstinence-based recovery homes. In each home we provide housing and staff support to community members who are recovering from addictions and healing, while putting the pieces together to move back into the community.

Recently the men’s home that we have rented for 11 years has been sold. We want to reassure the community that this recovery home is NOT closing. We are absolutely committed to our Addictions Programs, including our recovery homes. But, we do need your help!

It’s a difficult housing and rental market for anyone, especially when your needs are very specific. We are searching for a new rental home for our men’s recovery house. We require 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, along with common areas. If you have a lead on a rental, we invite you to get in touch with us as we look for options. We hope our community can help these men out by ensuring they have a safe and welcoming home to recover and grow.

Don’t have a 5 bedroom house lying around? You can still help us sustain this essential program in Cambridge and North Dumfries by making a donation towards this work:

We thank our community for any help you can provide. Let’s all do our part to support these folks as they work towards their goals!

At this time of unprecedented challenge, and uncertainty — as always — we recognize that mental health is health.  Family Counselling Centre of Cambridge & North Dumfries, as part of The Counselling Collaborative of Waterloo Region is here to help!  We are working together to lessen the financial stress of accessing counselling services.  We believe that cost should never be a barrier to getting help. While there is a fee for counselling, the Collaborative is working to secure a variety of forms of funding, including United Way grants, and donations from Foundations and individuals, to help out with these costs.  When setting the rate, we take your income into consideration and then apply any available funding sources.  Some of our programs may be subsidized or fully funded based on the type of services you are seeking.  Counselling services may also be reimbursed by your insurance provider or covered under workplace wellness services depending on your employer (employee assistance program – EAP).  Please reach out today because we are all in this together!
