Education: French Bilingual, I started out studying Furniture Design, but my true passion for helping others soon took center stage, and I ended up earning a Community College Diploma in Addictions and Community Service Work, a field that allows me to make a positive impact on people's lives. During my coursework, I obtained various certificates that allowed me to enhance my training, such as CPR First Aid, , Nonviolent Crisis Intervention, First Aid Opioid Poisoning Emergencies, Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training. I am also working towards my certification as an Addiction Counselor with the Canadian Addiction Counselors Certification Federation.
Experience: My education and training led to a several month internship at an addiction clinic, which subsequently opened the door to a job opportunity, and ultimately enabled me to join this wonderful team at Porchlight.
Areas of Specialty: Helping people overcome addiction to substances and other harmful behaviors, as well as support them in their recovery path.
